We are honored that you have chosen to take the time to learn about us, and we thank you for this opportunity to share a little bit about ourselves with you. We can only imagine what you are experiencing as you go through this difficult decision-making process. Please know that we appreciate that your choice in whether or not to form an adoption plan will be made with a lot of courage and strength.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We live in a mid-sized city in upstate New York. We are in close proximity to everything that this wonderful city offers: good schools, an abundance of parks, museums, and a wonderful zoo. Although we live within city limits, our neighborhood is very quiet. In fact, we have a family of deer that regularly visit us on our front lawn (eating all of the flower bulbs Greg just planted!).

We also have the pleasure of enjoying other visitors: chipmunks, squirrels, and a groundhog (that sees its shadow and we hope tells us only six more weeks of winter). We really have the best of both worlds…city life and country life.

Our house is located across the street from the baseball field of the local high school. We live near several well-known universities with lots of sporting events.

But Chad’s overall favorite landmark is the big shopping mall that has an antique carousel in it. This mall will soon have an aquarium and amusement park added–which we are sure will be a lot of fun for us to take our child to.

Our Work

We both have flexible schedules. Greg has been a nurse for the last ten years and works in the Intensive Care unit of one of our local hospitals. Not only does he love his job but he works with a lot of really great people. A lot of the nurses have already offered to baby sit. Greg is continually furthering his education and plans on staying in this field for a long time.

Chad has tried his hand at several types
of work over the years. He has done
everything from teaching Spanish to working as a flight attendant. He can’t wait
to bring our child to London which has
become his second home. Chad is now a
representative with a healthcare union.
He loves negotiating contracts and deals
with workplace issues for nurses and other
healthcare employees.It will be easy for at least one of us to be home with our child on a daily basis.

Friends & Family

Both of our families are an important part of our lives and who we are. They are very supportive of our decision to adopt and look forward to having our child become part of the family. Most of Greg’s family lives close by and we see them quite often. We have eight nieces and nephews and we love spending time with them. They can’t wait to add a new cousin into the mix.

Chad’s family lives in Florida and we visit at
least two to three times a year. We are so excited about the idea of introducing our child to Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Chad is the oldest child of eight and his brothers and sisters can’t wait to be aunts and uncles. We know our child will be treasured and loved by both our families.

About Us

We have known each other for a long time and truly enjoy spending time together. Whether we are going to the movies, out to dinner, or to
an amusement park, we always have a lot of fun. We love to travel and are excited about the new places we will visit with our child.

One other thing we like to do is shop. Greg loves to frequent the toy stores to see the latest and greatest.

Greg is very loving and caring and I feel lucky to have him in my life. If I am ever feeling sad or stressed Greg always has the ability to make me feel secure again.

I am so proud of what he has accomplished in the nursing field and I know he will put the same dedication into parenting our child.

He is smart, patient, sincere and truly one of the sweetest people around. He will be a wonderful father.

What first attracted me to Chad was his charismatic, outgoing personality. Chad is always willing to help out a friend in need or make someone smile with his unique
sense of humor.

Chad is very smart and quick-witted and it was easy for me to see that I wanted to share my life with him. He is so well rounded and has experienced so many different things in this world. I know he will open our child up to many new adventures.

Above all, Chad makes me feel whole and complete. He comforts me when I need it and makes me feel very secure. Our child will be lucky to have a father like Chad.
